It is true once you hit the 2nd trimester it really feels real and my wallet is going to suffer. Today we went to Target for about 5 things but I spent 30 minutes in the baby section. Thankfully all I walked a way with was a cute green onesy (sp) with baby mickey and friends that said "Plays well with others".
Ideas so far:
Crib-After Internet research...dark wood and one that converts to a toddler bed. Really like the Da Vinci ones at Babies R Us. Plus matching changing table. They make mini cribs I wonder if we should get one of those? Due to space.

Rocker and Ottoman- Probably first big purchase for living room. Babies R Us has ones that look like real chairs and not rocking chairs. Hopefully I can convince James. I think this in the living room is perfect with our small home. This way I can rock and nurse outside the bedroom and James can get more sleep. This should work right. Plus I will have my own spot in the living room :-).

Other Stuff- So many cute little clothes I love the boy green and blue combo with the jungle animals. I held on to this super soft blue elephant that played music forever I think I need to go back and get it.
So the other day I was freaking out because I don't know how to wrap up a baby. But guess what they make swaddling wraps for dummies like me... It is a blanket with a pocket in it where you place the baby and then just fold over the blanket....PERFECT!!!
Oh just so you all know my Christmas list is growing each day with the baby :-).

Cortney it is so good that you are doing this. We get to see a little bit about what you are doing. And see how things progress. Beautiful baby, and yes we could see he or she takes after you. love much Grandma and Grandpa G
This appears to be quite a Christmas/I am having a baby wish list. What fun stuff to think about. Wish you were closer so we could do some shopping together. I do think the chair should be purchase number one!! Looks comfy!
Woot! Shopping! I have to admitt that everytime I go to Target I spend a good thirty minutes in the baby section finding cool stuff for your little sea-monkey!
